Jason Holt, James Tavernier and Declan John are the 3 candidates for Rangers’ October Player of the Month. All three have had impressive months and before you cast your vote assess the contenders below:
Jason Holt
Jason Holt came into the team at the start of October due to injuries and suspensions and hasn’t looked back since.
His all action style has set the tempo in the midfield and he has managed to pick up a goal and an assist in three games during the month. His first goal in over a year against Kilmarnock was a sweetly struck shot into the roof of the net.
James Tavernier
Right-back Tavernier has been an ever present this season – with his attacking play making him the league leader in assists with five.
His ability to set up goals was more evident than ever during October, with pinpoint crosses against both St Johnstone and Hearts setting up goals for team mates.
Declan John
Due to the injury to Lee Wallace, Declan John has become an important player in the Rangers team, with his driving runs from left back giving Rangers another attacking option.
Solid defensively, John has been an able depute to the Gers captain and will give the manager a selection headache when the captain returns to full fitness.
