We were written off in 1999.Those cnuts thought they would turn us over and win the double. Yes,our team is nowhere near that 1999 team, but neither is the Tramps team.Beat them 3-0 and we go top. If we let that plodding cnut O'Riley wander around with no challenge,or let Stumpy McGregor run 20/30 metres without pressing him,we deserve all we get,bug if we score early, they will shit the bed. No Goldson,so only Tavernier to worry about.Maybe he'll be the one to score for us. Tapping into TBJ's mood, head says draw at best, heart says 3-0 Rangers.

Less than 48 hrs til the decider (ish) and admin are asleep or avoiding this match.
So, make or break time.
Heart says 1-3 Rangers.
Head says 4-0 with 3-0 at half time.
Toooo many cowards in this squad to get a victory but you never know.
Thanks for picking up the slack , I was going to start this thread tomorrow as that is ample time for the two or three people ( including you) who actually post nowadays .
Its now or never for the team , nothing but a win will do and even if we don`t go ahead on goal difference , an odd goal win will reduce it to 3 with two games to go. No fans is not an excuse. St Johnstone , Hearts and Kilmarnock have all gone there and taken points this season without many fans so if they can do it so can we .They have come to Ibrox , won and drawn so again if they can do it so can we .. We need to start well , believe we can win and play with courage , there is nothing to be scared off , they ain`t that great .
Hopefully , Yilmaz will be fit to play at left back and personally and I would rather have a fit Balogun at centre back than Davies. In midfield I agree that pushing Sterling in there to give us a strong three against their three might be a good tactic , it would require a wee tweak to how we play but it could pay off . Even if we keep it tight early then put more attackers on later when they run out of steam , as usual .Up front it will be Dessers plus two .It would be nice if Sima and Matondo were available to give us some good pace in the wide areas as I would be worried about Silvas temperament after watching him in the game at Ibrox .He will be getting singled out for stick and Collum will be under pressure to punish any diving around , we can`t win with 10 men so he would be benched if I was in charge.
It will be difficult but they seem to be the ones mouthing off this time , especially that slime ball Rodgers and they seem a bit over confident so it would be nice to go there and really stick it right up them.
I`m going for an odd goal win to the Gers , probably 3-2 as thats quite a popular OF score line and we haven`t had one yet.

I believe we can win as I'm not convinced they are good as they think they are but we can't afford another slow start, make less mistakes defensively and be more clinical.
Least Goldson definitely won't be playing but the thought of having to play Ben Davies doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.
Due to availability alone, I think we we need to go to a back 3 with Sterling, Davies & Souttar and play Yilmaz and Tavernier as wing backs to push their wide players back.
I desperately hope for a win but unfortunately think we blew it against Ross County and Dundee after months of steady wins. Teams not good enough but it’s the hope that kills you.
Ryan Jack played 45 mins for the youth team tonight against Queens Park. Nowhere near match fit but he’s done it before. Would at least be a great option from the bench for the last half hour or so. It’s not much but it’s another wee plus point.
If we were at full strength (like they are just now) , I'd actually fancy us to nick this.
But we are desperately short in the attacking areas where we are potentially relying on the likes of Wright, an out of position Sterling, McCausland & the much maligned (deservedly so) Dessers.
Having Danillo, Cortes, Silva & Matondo available would have given us the pace (and technique) to better hurt them in a game like tomorrow.
Despite liking a lot of Diomande's qualities, an engine room of him and Lundstram does not boss any team in spl, never mind against Bin Dippers fc so I agree it would be nice to somehow get Sterling in there to help stop the likes of mcgregor, hatate & o Riley strolling about dictating things.
Defensively we are an absolute mess (whoever plays) and will need a small miracle to stop them scoring. Will have to hope they have an off day and the likes of Souttar (physique of a Sunday league player btw) & Davies have the game of their lives.
Suspect we will lose 3-1 ish.... but I guess you never know. If we somehow do manage to win, incredibly I think we would be in pole position with a decent chance of a high scoring home win against Dundee before they have to go to rugby park.... 🤞🙏

At his best ( and fittest) Jack would be exactly what we need for this game , but they days have long gone .I can`t see anyway that he plays in this game having played just 45 minutes in months , watching him plod around as the scum players run away from him as not something I would want to see .
I suspect he may get some minutes in the home game against Dundee , if the match situation allows it , just to say cheerio to the fans .
It’s not just this forum thats saw a decline in posters.
The apathy felt towards this particular group of players is to blame.
We all hope it’s gona change but deep down we know the pre written script of this group.
I desperately hope I’m wrong again.
I get what you are saying but this forum and DTB before that was pretty busy during the demotion years and during the tenures of The Loaf , Murty and Mad Pedro when the team was 10 times worse than this one .

Unfortunately, we've lost a few of older posters who were quite prolific.

I guess this particular group of players has drained the will to watch, or even to comment, out of us.
If he's going to play Jack then it would make more sense to gamble him from the start. They are notoriously fast starters so it would be pointless bringing him on for the second half when they are likely tiring.
Only way to go for me due to availability is 3 central defenders, 2 wing backs, 4 in midfield and 1 up front e.g.

You can only say the same thing so many times without getting bored.

According to Clement at his presser still no Jack , Sima or Matondo and Balogun doubtful for tomorrow , so what team would you like to see .Mine would be.
Butland , Tavernier , Souttar , Davies , Yilmaz , Sterling , Lundstram , Diomande , Cantwell , Dessers and Silva .They would line up in a 4-3-1-2 formation which hopefully would surprise the scum a bit and make us more competitive in midfield .I know I said no Silva but options are limited and I wanted 2 strikers in my team in this formation .
I know this won`t happen because Phil has his system and likes to stick to it , one of the few things that bothers me about him .There should always be a plan B .

I know he’s been shit lately but I’d gamble Lawerence in place of silva and go 4-4-2.

I would love for us to try something different and I'm not sure I'd start either Dessers or Silva.
Personally I would be tempted to through a curveball like playing Lawrence as a false 9, e.g:
Ideally I would have Jack in for Diomande, Matondo in for McCausland, Sima in for Lawrence, Balogun in for Tavernier and swap Sterling to Right wing back.
I just can't stomach the thought of Dessers wasting even more chances against them, Silva in a Rangers jersey after his antics at the weekend, seeing Dowell jog about the park or the likes of Raskin and Wright to offer absolutely nothing to suggest them in a starting 11.
No doubt we will get the usual and it will pretty much be the team that played Kilmarnock except Davies for Balogun, Yilmaz for Barisic and potentially Lawrence for Cantwell.
We have zero pace up front, and none at back if Balogun is out. Odds are piling up against us,but if Cantwell,Lundstram,Diomande can click, and Dessers can score half of the chances he gets....we can still win. Rodgers is on the edge of bricking it.We score first,he,and his team, will be jangling.
