A couple of interesting stories appearing at the moment.
The club have announced that the long overdue statue of Sir Walter will be unveiled at Ibrox in the morning of the cup final .
It is being reported that we are in serious discussions to sign Jose Cordoba a Columbian centre back from Levski Sofia in Bulgaria .Fee is around a million euros .He is 6` 1" ,highly regarded , young and a Panamanian (?) international .Story is ,he was shown round and was at the Kilmarnock game. Fits the profile of what we are looking to do , bring in talent, develop them , get the best out of them for a couple of years and sell them on at a profit.
Thirdly ,not really a Rangers story , but the scum apparently are thinking about signing ex Rangers Academy goalkeeper Liam Kelly on a free transfer from Motherwell . Hope thats true , because I`ve never rated the guy, though to be fair its probably just as a back up as I would assume they have someone better lined up to succeed Hart
Re the defender, I'm all for signing promising players to develop but I'd also hope we recruit a more experienced defender as well.
As for Kelly wouldn't bother me if they sign him and in all honesty as much as I've heard a lot of them complaining about Hart in the past, most available goalkeepers will likely be a downgrade.
