Thought the pitch had already been lowered and it couldn’t go any lower without being affected seriously with water table, if we go any lower it could cause severe drainage and flooding problems. In layman’s terms the water table is level of River Clyde and lowering pitch would take it below that level. Like the idea of filling in corners though .
Perhaps they are thinking about membrane/dam to keep the water out like the twin towers had, the drainage would then have to be looked at as Cody stated.
Are the big screens not needed for VAR to keep the fans informed.?
We are the biggest club in Scotland and should have the biggest stadium! Dropping the pitch and filling in the corners to add 6k should be just the start. Installing safe standing in the Broomloan front would them take us above the piggery capacity.

Would it though? What's their capacity? I don't recall hearing them gaining 3,000 (example) seats extra because they put it in.

Given that the capacity of the Broomloan front would increase to around 4.5k when the pitch gets lowered and total capacity would be 50,817 + 6,000 = 56,817 - 4,500 (Broomloan capacity) + 8,100 (new safe standing in Broomloan) = 60,417!
Piggery = 60,411 link below but safe standing seem to increase capacity by 80 %
Got to be honest I think the club are being pig headed over the safe standing issue. UBs have been calling for it for years and it looks to me that the club are stonewalling them with a we’re not going to be dictated too by these wee fannys. The UBs want safe standing in my opinion they should get it in the entire Broomloan front. My ST is for SJ front and eventually I think the front of all stands should be safe standing which when in use would take the capacity to over 80,000, as ibrox should be imo.. But I would still give the Taigs less than a thousand tickets.😎

Fantastic idea...doomed to fail imho though. To many, "I've sat in this seat for 25 / 30 / 35 years" in Govan front, Copland front and enclosure for that to happen. Better for me would be making the whole of the Broomloan standing, family stand could be moved to the areas where the big screens are currently. This is how Ibrox should be on match day.

TBH the “ma seat”brigade annoy the fuck outta me, Naw mate it’s no your seat you only have a contract for the use of it for X amount of games per season, IF and like you say it’s very unlikely to happen the bottom of all stands we’re made safe standing, the club would probably refuse to issue me with a ST under health and safety rules due to my disability, but I can live with that as long as the club are progressing like I want them too, Dortmunds stadium is impressive and would love to see ibrox like that on match days yet we’re only a multi billionaire benefactor away from it looking like this 😂😂😂😂
