As much as it gets in the way of our title challenge, especially at this time of year the stats show how vital those European runs are for us financially. Thanks to Michael Seafarer on X for the stats.

Benfica game another sell out and at around £50 a ticket that’ll be another couple of million in the coffers. Leads to the question…if we can sell 50,000 tickets and fill the stadium for a game at 5:45 should we not be looking to remove them screens asap and get the capacity to 60k plus.

A massive investment that according to previous surveys on this would cost tens of millions to undertake NOT a couple of years Europe money which in itself goes towards other pressing matters.
YOU CAN''T GO BACK AND CHANGE THE BEGINNING, BUT YOU CAN START WHERE YOU ARE AND CHANGE THE ENDING.

I think the figure quoted was £24 million to fill the corners. Seen as how next seasons champions league money, by all accounts hit £60 million for group stage participation, it does seem like a no brainier.
Need to do something as they screens don't make money.put hotels there or expand with seats as there would be good income and as has been said the screens could be put in the Copland & Broomloan but might block views or safety isuses but should have been sorted along time ago.

When did we last get a quote to have the screens replaced with seats? Things chat a hell of a lot more these days, just look at EH figures and how they increased

A survey was carried out on the structures several years ago and found not to be feasible due to the foundations and structures of both the broomloan and Copland stands. Exact date escapes me.

Rangers have actively investigated the possibility of increasing the capacity of Ibrox.
Speaking at a CEO Fan Forum at the club's new Edmiston House complex, James Bisgrove detailed 3 "medium to long term" options to increase the size of the iconic 50,817 seater stadium.
With 10,000 people on the season ticket waiting list, the club's power brokers are acutely aware they could generate more revenue by increasing the size of the stadium - but feasibility studies have shown it would have to be backed with a significant initial outlay.
The cheapest option would be to add 1300 seats to each 'TV screen' corner at a cost of £3-4m per area.
To go the whole hog, remove the big screens and fill in the corners adjacent to the Sandy Jardine stand, it would cost £20-25m. This would add approximately 3000-4000 seats.
The final option investigated would be to lower the pitch, adding 4500 seats. At a total cost of £20-25m this would not only be the most expensive addition but the work could not be done in a summer, meaning Rangers would have to move to another stadium while work was carried out.

Well that certainly changed over the years. Cheers bud.
