Another game, another outbreak of hysteria by pundits after Rangers are awarded a penalty after a VAR Review .Watching the game live ,Suttons outbursts even after it was slowed down and the kick on Silva was clear for all to see was embarrassing for SKY .To continue to employ an " expert" who ignores the obvious and the rules so that he can slag off the club he hates and a referee, is frankly irresponsible . A wee mention too for the spineless jelly fish Kenny Miller who sat beside him and said nothing .
Then last night we had Michael Stewart on co commentary on the Scottish Beeb highlights and we had his usual anti Rangers bias all through every incident , followed by a meltdown when we were given the penalty . He even said it was a coming together , what ? He is another one who continues to show anti Rangers bias during all his commentaries ,be it for the Beeb or Viaplay , evidence the League Cup Final and the Scottish tie against Hibs earlier in the season .He is another one who brings no value and in fact spoils the experience of watching Rangers games on these channels.
I would expect Brenda and the rabid hordes to dispute it but pundits are paid to be objective
Even Peter Grant agreed it was a penalty and this was backed up by Dermot Gallagher on the neutral Ref Watch on SKY.
It is getting to be the norm. but it gets a bit wearing after a while that there is no balance in the coverage.
No mention of the continual fouling by the scum , 23 fouls against 10 by us , 4 players booked v none of ours and guys like Johnston and Maeda lucky to be on the pitch .CCV not booked for kicking the ball away when it is now an automatic booking and the repeated falling down to break up play .I`ve never seen a Scottish team cheat as much to win a game , obviously Brenda does coach some things.
Even the repeated digs at Silva, yes, he was rolling about and should be told to stop but the one early on when he went down in the box , he was definitely caught on the ankle by Scales and the one Johnston blocked him , he did catch him in the face. He shouldn`t be over reacting but to hear a commentator say it wasn`t a yellow card is a joke .
I am convinced if Dessers goal had stood we would have gone on to win but VAR helped them out and we have to accept it , personally I`m not convinced that going back that far in a move after the scum have had two chances to clear it is a legitimate use of VAR. Thats three goals we have had disallowed by VAR in recent OF games but that is never looked at .
Oh and note to Lennon and McFadden we didn`t celebrate at the end of the game , our players were thanking the fans for the support right to the end and if this is a problem for you guys why do you say nothing when the likes of Liverpool do it all the time.
