Why are we so prone to hiring them as our managers?
Le Guen
Warburton
Caixinha
Gerrard I know he won one title, but we were in a tailspin when he left.
GvB, we loved him as a player, but...
Beale. He must have been known about, ffs, he was part of Gerrard's entourage
Now we've gone full circle to Clement, who is so like Le Guen that I noticed it months ago.
All of them far too good for Scottish Football, yet all have gone on to lesser things, because they, erm...weren't.
Le Guen 3 time winner of home league with a team, built by Santini who were already champions. What a tailspin since.
Warburton one promotion with Brentford one with Rangers, never finish a "project yet" & was so bad at QPR, he was replaced by BEALE!!!
Caixinha how??? Managed on another continent, never, as far as I know, even played in Scotland. If I mention the words Progres Neidercorn & move on you'll forgive me please?
Gerrard youth coach now swaggering about in the footballing hotspot that is the Middle East.
GvB. If there's one thing Super Ally should have taught us, it's that super players do not necessarilly become super managers & that we should cherish them for what they are & make no assumptions as to their abilities in other roles. One league title in home league. One poor season in China. Not currently active.
Beale, I actually thought that the board must have seen something in him when they offered him the job, so I was prepared to give him a chance to build his own team, however, when we lost our league match away at Killie, & he said, "We were not ready!!" that was it. NOT READY, WHAT'S ON THE EFFING BADGE YOU USELESS ^^^^?
Clement Three home league titles & nothing outside.
Don't remember him playing in Scotland, but as he wasn't much of a player either.
It took far longer for Clement's bubble to burst, but the similarities with Le Guen are amazing, not least the fawning he has received from sporting hacks & punters.
The sooner he gets his jotters the better.
Replace him with whom?
Well Derek McInnes has a lot in his favour.
Knows the club.
Knows Scottish football inside out.
Knows how to get the best out of a squad (You only have to look at how Aberdeen have fared since he left, or Kilmarnock's exploits this season, where he has gonefrom last year's promotion to be favourites to qualify for Europe.
Knows how to beat Bin Dippers fc and, unfortunately Rangers, with a threadbare squad.
We need the managerial selection process to be taken out of the hands of those who are easily moonshined, & given to those with noses as hard as they are blue.
We have a board controlled by rich amateur supporters who are on the board as ego-trips, as status symbols.
